SOOT REMOVAL ZONED WET CYLINDER LINER
In cylinder liners with soot removal zone, the diameters in the upper cylinder section of the inner surface are larger than the piston diameter. Soot is formed in this field. Thus, formation of soot in the piston top ring groove and on the ring is prevented.
Thanks to the larger diameter, thicker soot can form in this section, thereby preventing deposit formation in the piston top ring set of the piston. It ensures that the inner surface of the cylinder liner does not wear out due to soot and keeps oil consumption to a minimum.
